New Year, Renewed Vision

Having put 2020 “to rest,” and despite a turbulent start to this New Year, we are very optimistic about 2021 here at Adventure Crew. Thanks to this tenacious and resilient Crew, we have brought our best in facing some of our worst moments in this country.

As a “family-like” organization, we know the hearts of those with whom we work. We are each drawn to this mission not only because we love nature, but also because we love the kids we serve. We firmly believe they deserve equal access to the great outdoors, where the earth inspires a deeper connection to oneself and to others. If there was ever a time that we need to focus more on what unites us than divides, that is now – and that is Adventure Crew.

While we know who we are and how we serve, we took the important steps of defining our Core Values so to express to the public what we, as an organization, hold dear.

VISION: Adventure Crew will set a positive course to empower the lives of city youth through nature, with a relentless commitment to our core values:

  • Provide a safe and supportive environment in which to explore, learn, grow and dream where everyone can take new risks and feel encouraged and accepted.

  • Respect all things in nature and maintain habits of environmental conservation and care, modeling for our Crew lives that are gentle on the earth and with people.

  • Ensure a culture that is inclusive and supportive of persons from diverse backgrounds, beliefs, races, gender identities, sexual orientations and those alternatively-abled, so to be reflective of the communities we serve and uphold a spirit of Outdoors for All.

This is who we are and who we continually aspire to be. Happy, glorious New Year. May you all find peace and love.
