Meet the Crew: Camping & Education Foundation

We were thrilled to once again partner with the Camping & Education Foundation to send a small group of Crew teens to on a canoe adventure up north. They visited Owakonze, a wilderness outpost in the heart of Canadian canoe country. It's located on Child’s Island on Baril Lake, in the unorganized Thunder Bay District of Ontario. This is the Crew's second year working with the foundation to make this trip possible.

Camping & Education Foundation's mission is "to develop young men and women through transformational wilderness experiences that celebrate a love of the outdoors."

"We also believe our programs develop good citizens, a sense of community and strong leaders," the organization states.
