New to the Crew

Outdoor Specialists
We’re thrilled to introduce our two new Outdoor Specialists, Lauren and Daniel! Both joined our Saturday staff in November during our East Fork Lake adventure.

Lauren has a strong background in outdoor work. She has worked as a state park naturalist; done trail work in Kings Canyon and Sequoia National Parks; led education programs for Cincinnati Parks and the Cincinnati Zoo and Botanical Garden; and taught recreation skills such as archery and kayaking at Great Parks of Hamilton County’s Adventure Outpost. Her favorite outdoor activity is camping.

“I enjoy camping out under the stars away from the city to enjoy the true beauty of all the stars without all of the light pollution,” she said. “I also enjoy listening to the sounds of nature during nights of camping.”

When she’s not adventuring with the Crew, the Hyde Park resident also works for UC Health and enjoys playing European board games and spending time with her dogs.

Daniel was already a Crew insider and familiar face on his first day.

“I wanted to work with Adventure Crew because I had a good experience with Adventure Crew as a student in high school,” said the recent Woodward High grad. “Adventure Crew is a job, but it never feels like one.”

The Roselawn resident’s past work experience includes Kroger, Home Depot and Cincinnati Youth Collaborative.

Between Saturdays, Daniel attends UC Blue Ash College. In his free time, he likes to play video games, and he shares Lauren’s love of camping as his outdoor activity of choice.
