You make adventures, big and small, possible

Adventures and gifts, big and small, are transformative for our teens.
With your support, we returned to our usual adventure rhythm this fall. Last school year, to keep our crew safe and healthy, we went small -- a significant shift from hosting groups of 75 teens on a given Saturday. But we learned something from those little adventures that we’re carrying with us this year: Going small can have a BIG impact.

Below, we share three stories of specialized adventures that have transformed our students in new ways. We plan to continue these focused initiatives, together with our larger weekend adventures, to keep our Crew steadily growing in nature. And we need your help.

Keep teens climbing with your gift, big or small.
You made it possible for small groups of Crew teens to enjoy weeknight climbing sessions. As part of the Climb L8 program to reach non-traditional, young climbers, our teens received individual instruction from experienced belayers.

Anjani, an 8th grader at Clark Montessori, has attended all three climb nights so far! Last year was Ajani’s first year in the Crew, but it was a meaningful one. He has quickly ascended to become one of our most enthusiastic adventurers.

Keep teens swimming with your gift, big or small.
Your generosity helped a special group of students take the plunge as part of our first-ever Spring Break Swim Training Program. During the week, teens of all experience levels waded in at the NKU Rec Center to improve their swim skills and water safety knowledge.

Bellevue 7th graders Gage and Joel -- better known as “The Goggle Gang” -- bobbed, splashed, and giggled their way through the week, which included broadening their skills and boldly conquering their fears.

Keep the outdoors for all with your gift, big or small.
You share our commitment to “Outdoors for All.” But not all adventures are ideal for a large group. Sometimes the beauty of the great outdoors is best appreciated with just a few fellow explorers.

This past summer, select Crew teens expanded their perspectives and enriched their lives with a trip to the Boundary Waters, a remote paddling destination that promises peaceful isolation, quiet reflection, and opportunities for personal growth.

You make adventures, big and small, possible.
You can continue to inspire city youth through nature with your contribution to our annual fund. No matter the amount, your generosity will impact the lives of Adventure Crew students in a BIG way.

Make Your Gift!
