Fall Adventures
Our teens just can't get enough of paddling with Adventure Crew!
Our largest kayaking adventure ever took place this September with over 160 students, advisors, volunteers, and staff! We traveled 5 miles down the Little Miami River and stopped off at the Loveland Castle for lunch. Our strong numbers at the start of the year are no doubt thanks to the recruiting efforts of our awesome Program Managers, Paige and Clint.
This fall we were able to add a new adventure, thanks to a partnership with the recently opened Lebanon Bike Park and Countryside YMCA. Students will be able to explore the challenge and thrill of off-road biking at the bike park and then shuttle to the Y to swim, rock climb, and enjoy the many recreational amenities of the country's largest YMCA.
The Little Miami Conservancy, Adventure Crew, Ohio Department of Natural Resources, and Warren County Park District held a free fishing derby for youth and adults at Warren County Armco Park on October 7, 1:00 - 5:00 pm. Eleven Adventure Crew students participated in the derby, along with about 100 other fishermen. Thanks to our friends at the Little Miami Conservancy for getting us involved!
