Meet the Crew: Cillian, student

We love when teens stay with the Crew for the long haul! As an example, we'd like to shout out Cillian, a sophomore at SCPA who's been coming out with us since seventh grade. He's followed in the footsteps of his older sister, Maeve, and become a Crew Trailblazer! That made him eligible to attend our advanced destination trip last summer.

Cillian and a small group of Crew students traveled to Owakonze in the Canadian wilderness (just like Maeve before him!). If you joined us at Summits & Horizons last fall, you heard him share his experience.

"It was a completely life-changing trip surrounded by just beauty and nature," he said. "Everything about it was amazing. Being there made me realize so much about the world: How we need to take care of everything; how we need to make sure that this earth does not fall apart because of our mistakes." 

"Adventure Crew is a great organization because they give kids the chance to get outside, the chance to just see the world, meet new friends and everything," he added. "A normal Saturday for me is just sitting in my bed, playing video games, watching TV, not much. But with Adventure Crew, I get to get outside, do stuff I've never done before, meet people I've never met and just have a great, great time."
