Meet the Crew: Zaire Jones, new alum

Congrats to new Adventure Crew alum Zaire Jones, who recently graduated from Gamble Montessori!

Zaire first signed up to come out with the Crew after seeing posters and hearing announcements at her school. "I decided to come because I love being outside trying new things," she said. "I’m very adventurous so it was something new and free!!"

Program Diretor Paige Young noted that Zaire didn't miss a single adventure this year. "What kept me coming back was being around all the amazing staff and being there with my advisor," Zaire said.

Kayaking and ice skating were her favorite adventures. "I learned that it was not easy but you cannot give up!!" she said.

"Zaire is always a positive force on the adventures and puts her best foot forward," Paige said. "She is willing to try new things and always offers to lend a helping hand, whether it’s with other students or a staff member. At every adventure, she’s asking me what she can help with. Her advisor at Gamble always spoke very highly of her and had nothing but kind things to say."

Zaire will head to Cincinnati State this fall; she plans to pursue a career as a surgical technician. But she plans to remain part of the Crew.

"I want to volunteer (with Adventure Crew) because I wanna have all the teens my age or younger enjoy the outside and all the adventures you could do with others," Zaire said.

"We’re sad to see her go as a student, but look forward to having her join back as a volunteer!" Paige added.
